Restaurant tables set for dinner at The Lodge at Lulworth, located by Lulworth Cove.

From the sea to the table

In food we trust – a cut above Lulworth Cove restaurants.

Set a pebble’s skim from Lulworth Cove, our kitchen follows the seasons and the tides.

The menu changes when it should. Built around seasonality and availability, it reflects ingredients at their best.

We keep things fresh, considered, and naturally evolving by working closely with local suppliers, Dorset producers, and fishermen who know every inch of this stretch of coast.

Among the best restaurants in Lulworth Cove, not because we say so, but because the food does the talking.

Breakfast

Fresh coffee and a proper breakfast on a sun-warmed terrace

Served from 8 to 11am

Start the day with a full English breakfast, savour poached eggs on sourdough toast, or if you wake up with a sweet tooth, our French toast is worth getting out of bed for.

When the weather plays along, there’s no better place to begin the day than on the terrace. Find a table in the sunshine, settle in, and let us bring fresh coffee and breakfast straight to you. It’s the perfect spot to watch Lulworth wake up, plan the day’s adventures, or simply enjoy doing very little at all.

Whether you’re fueling up for a coastal walk or easing into a slower morning, breakfast at The Lodge is all about good food, fresh air and starting the day well.

Lunch

Long lunches, sea air and local Dorset crab on sourdough

Served daily, from 12 to 3pm

Come in for seasonal à la carte, delicious Dorset crab on sourdough, or a classic cream tea. Take your time over a long lunch on the terrace and enjoy sea air, good food, and time well spent. Dogs will be wagging their tails too – welcome inside and out.

Dinner

Good food. Fresh air. Time well spent… views included

Served daily, from 6 to 8.45pm (Booking is advised)

The evening menu leans into what the coast gives us – fresh fish, local produce, and ingredients that change with the day and the tide. It’s simple, considered cooking, served in a room that feels right for slowing down at the end of a good day. Well worth booking ahead.

Drinks

Somewhere to pause, sit, and sip after a day exploring Durdle Door

At The Lodge, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee after a long coastal walk, a chilled glass of wine in the warm afternoon sun, or something cold and simple after a refreshing swim in the sea.

Settle in on our sun-soaked terrace, or when the weather turns, pull up a seat at our rustic bar, with beer on tap and a selection of local Dorset spirits. Pull out a board game and let the afternoon unfold at its own pace.

Big groups, family outing, the dog walk, or just you and the view: The Lodge at Lulworth is made for slowing down. Sea air, coastal views, a crisp glass in hand.

Kiosk

Grab-and-go coffees, cold drinks, and sweet treats for your walk along the Coast Path!

Our outdoor kiosk keeps things easy. Grab a coffee to go, pick up a cold drink, or settle nearby and take a moment at the cove.

From early morning coffees to an impromptu beach picnic, it’s all about keeping things simple, relaxed, and rooted in the rhythm of the Dorset coast.

Enjoy our range of locally sourced ice creams, hot and cold drinks, cold-press juices, beer and wine, breakfast on the go, savoury and seafood snacks, and sweet treats.

Tucked right by The Lodge at Lulworth Cove, the kiosk fits easily into your day: come grab a bite, head off walking along the South West Coast Path, come back to freshen up at the hotel, then settle and relax on the terrace for an outdoor evening meal.
